As a child I have watched the TV-Show The A-Team many times.
If I hear the intro now, I still got goosebumps.
Especially when the whole gang is pumped for action and they got work to do.
The tune hits the speakers, every member does their job for the greater good and voila: the end product of their big scheme is settled.
The actual work into their project is what made it so good.
Hannibal a.k.a the master mind always come’s up with something.
He has a plan.
But as we all do know, a plan is something only in the mind.
If they want to succeed they have to put every bit of energy into the project.
Ofcourse this scene only takes up to two minutes. Two really good minutes!
In real life this could take for ever. But that’s the thing.
When we want to start something.
Their is this huge gap.
Even before we have started.
Maybe other projects get more attention, even if you don’t want to.
Maybe you have some obligations to attend to.
Maybe there is someone sick closeby and you really can’t get to work.
But maybe, maybe you keep pushing it forward on your forever to do list.
Procastination is sucker!
But then when you defeat this gap of nothingness, you have entered a world where your plan or idea gets form.
You make the first step, grabbing your idea out of the ether into this world.
A world of magic reveals itself.
Now you have started.
You begin to see what it actually can become.
Their is this rush or energy that surrounds you now.
When you wake up, go to bed and everything in between. This piece of work, is what needs to be finished.
When you are almost done, when the finishline is in sight.
Things get hard!
You doubt the damn thing, you tweak it over and over.
Sometimes it just lays there, waiting.
But there comes a time where you begin to see. That the finish only is won, when you deliver.
You pack the project and give it to the person that has given you this task.
You wait.
You wait a little longer.
It becomes a burden sometimes.
This battle is only over when you got some sitrep or debrief.
You see a smile, maybe you get some compliments.
Only then can I say:
“I love it when a plan comes together”
